Rocket Jump gets maxed first as Tristana needs to be played aggressively early game. If I'm doing well on farming I'll put points into Q, if not, I put them in my E. I suppose I don't actually "leave it for last".

Thanks for the build tips! I have no talent for figuring out builds, and often forget that I can look them up.

I, like a nimrod, only recently started using Infinity Edge. It has made my Trist games a lot better.

Also, the Force of Nature came from the notion that it would be best to focus a good bit on movement speed, while still being a little less squishy. Movement speed isn't that important, so Banshee's Veil sounds like a very good option. Ionic Spark was an impulse buy; I can't resist lightning. Maybe I should play Kennen.

Black Cleaver I have seen before but never really used or looked into. I will be certain to check it out.

However, I don't think I like guardian angel. If I get killed, it's most likely that the enemy will stick around and I'll die anyway.

I think it's also probably good to mention that I, to begin, get Explosive Shot, as it's useful for poking at low levels as well as farming. Rocket jump I usually focus on immediately after. Slowing enemies and hopping all over the place can't be passed up.

I put a point in explosive shot at level 1 as well, I'm just not very good at clearly explaining things  :cookieMonster:

I say get E to 3 before level 6, don't touch it again ever because you wont need it again after that. Leveling Q and W don't really help early game that much. The mana cost might even hurt if you get Q and W too high too early.

As for your Q and W after level 6, it depends what you find more useful.
Do you want to lower the cooldown on your jump/slow, or do you want more damage output?

Yeah, I agree with Chrono. Max W first if you have trouble escaping/chasing, but max Q first if you really need to push/kite.

Nonononono why teehh forget would you up rocketjump first? Thats just useless for your dps, You max E then Q on tristana take 1level on W so you can escape from ganks to bottom, And then just FARM your E's passive is good for pushing the lane and easy to farm with.

Maxing W first is stupid 1st You lose DPS cause its ap scaling skill like tristanas all other skills 2md Your E is a loving ignite dude you throw that stuff in  the right time and the enemy supports heal becomes useless. 3rd W drains your mana like a loving bitch so no you never max it first or second unless you're playing ap trist

Cooldown: 22 / 20 / 18 / 16 / 14 seconds - This is why you dont use W for nothing, you can lane fine with the 22 second CD if you know what you're doing

I really do think that it is best to use E first though, if no-one has any objections. Rocket jumping is fun, but it's not a good mechanism for farming.

You only max W first if you play ap tristana

I find the passive on E really annoying when i dont want to push. Do you have to get it?

It does really nice damage cause most ad carries dont have that much MR early [Unless you run mr flats/per level like me] and works as an ignite against heal support so why the forget not, You cant be ganked as you have your W

Its Q or E max first but its kinda how you prefer

If you're playing with ignite, then it's incredibly effective early game. If they're around half to a quarter hp, you can use both spells and hit them a little, and in most cases, you've got them.

Double post: Off to grandmother's house I go. I won't be able to get back on League of Legends until the second Monday from now.

My current Caitlyn build:

Long Sword --> Manamune
Berserker's Greaves
Bloodthirster
I usually start building towards Infinity Edge here, but it might be better to add a zeal in front of it
Phantom dancer
Endgame item to probably make me less squishy, but depending on circumstances might be more AD.

I would also like to put Last Whisper in there, but I'm not sure where to fit it in.

Eh i don't like manamune

Give more harass ability/the passive can give you some nice late AD if you use it early. Supposing you have ~ 2k mana lategame, that's 40 AD.
