The music brick is cool, but what about videos? My requests to you badspot, is to make a T.V. brick, but make it like the music brick, but it plays videos not music. :D

Use search, there are a lot of similar requests. It's not possible to make it without being extremely laggy.

Ambiguous topic, much?

Incorrect.
Animated print bricks have been made before.
I made one.
There is virtually no lag.

However.... download times are terriable.

Do you even need a special print brick for it? What would happen if you saved and packaged an animated print?

Ive always wanted to try it, but I don't want to make an animation..

I remember people were trying to make animated .png's

Just wait for those.

TGE has no built in support for any kind of video i dont think

But it does have the ability to record like the source engine?
Right?
I saw a folder named Recordings in the BL files.

In the past, I believe so. I think Badspot removed it.

But it made some wierd video file type I'd never seen before and couldn't figure out how to use.

BTW, the video support other torque engines have is only for GUIs anyhow, so that doesn't work either.

Badspot'd have to make an engine change I'd imagine to be big/annoying just for video bricks, it isn't worth the time or effort.

If he changed the Engine, we could have made more and cooler stuff for blockland, and blockland would be more popular. Blockland could have better grafics, handle more polys, cooler add-ons, nonbuggy fysics and Baddy would make more cash.

It's a win win.

Actually, some addon's like City RPG, ZAPT, and Gamemode zombie Might not work.

You could only watch them in game. It's the whole series of commands dealio instead of a video.

Oh, really?
Huh.

I'll have to try it out sometime.

Badspot already makes engine changes, for one, graphics are pretty trivial, handling more polys isn't a problem because we can have fine models already and it's not an issue with the engine itself, add-ons are already cool and engine changes won't help with that, physics are harder to perfect than you seem to think, and making engine changes won't exactly increase income from a game that runs off the engine.

I'm not talking about engine changes, i am talking about changing the engine :D

...What the...
...

Oh.

You think Badspot'd even consider moving to a completely different engine just because we can't have a God-danged television brick?

The only reason we'd need an engine change was if the version of TGE Badspot had suddenly stopped working completely for no reason and couldn't be fixed.

The chances of that happening are slim to none.
