not everyone can have good parents.
True.

Most parents can be looked at through their children, and for me; most parents are down right horrible. I don't hate them, or their kids, but I look at them and think their downright horrible. All that racism, discrimination, narrow mindedness hardwired into the mind.

I told my dad that I was becoming a brony

I'm still baffled as to why people do this

I've become a dr. who fan"

Story is we were driving home from a vacation and I told him about the phenomenon known as "bronies" or "bronyism". He was like, "Another fad of you young people?" and I said, "Well yeah, but its interesting enough that I'd look into it.".

He said go ahead, do what you want; and when I got home to Netflix premiering Season One - I was overjoyed and well, relieved.

I told him because it was his right to know... He teases me, but its all in good fun...

It's not really like it matters.

When my dad discovered my love for the show, it wasn't because of me just telling him. I just decided to give him a "visual hint", by spending the whole time at the toy shop where the MLP toys were. I have to say I felt a little stupid being surrounded by pink from other things such as Littlest Pet Shop and all that crap, but it was worth it when I had to tell my dad about the fandom.

Next time, we'll have a whole game called Pony Fortress 2 in its own right with its own characters...

my mom put the clear plastic bag containing one of my shirts from WeLoveFine on my bed for me when it arrived at my house while I was at work and when I came home she was like, "so what's that shirt for?"

so I told her and told my dad later the same day, they're completely fine with it. although my mom thinks the word "brony" is kinda funny, lol.

I feel really bad for Veg though. :(

Well, they're bound to find out anyway, right?

Certainly, but everyone treats it like they're coming out of the closet or something

If you bring it up casually (discussing TV shows and you talk about MLP, or sort of what happened to Imperial) that's all fine and dandy, but I think we need to all agree that this whole "so, uh, mom, dad...I have something to tell you...I'm a brony" thing really has to stop, it makes being a brony sound like some terrible thing you're confessing
