Author Topic: Rughugger's a Daddy! Two Year Cake Day!  (Read 118830 times)

If it's still around when she turns 13. With the content and adult type of content on this page, I'm tempted to not show her til she's 18...
I've played since I was 13 and look how I turned out though :cookieMonster:

On a more serious note, there are sort of 3 reasons for and against...
For:
1. Daughter / father bonding
2. Artistic expression / Broader friend spectrum (I now know people in Europe, Australia, etc)
3. I'll bet $20 when she goes to school, by the time she's 13 none of the stuff on BL would surprise her. My middle school was a serious wake up call, and I knew every dirty word in the book before 5th grade. :L You can't truely protect her, you can only try and guide her, let her fly and hope that she soars. Whether or not she 'soars' is entirely up to her and her personality.
Against:
1. Again, the Block Land community can be a little harsh, especially to our female members
2. internet addiction 101, prime example right here ♥
3. Sort of going back to #1, she would eventually run into people like Furdle, Dotdot_____, etc. Long story short, they really don't need to have an influence on anybody.

You could, however, play with her? If your key is still active 12 years from now, you could get her to sit down and just play on a LAN server, if you have two computers you could play together on the same key. I'll be 29 by that time, but I bet I'll still be around :P
See if she has any interest in legos early on, I remember finding blockland because I googled "virtual legos," found this drama, then moved on from there to find the actual game itself.

Happy one year anniversary.
Sorry I missed it.

Overprotective dad is overprotective.
It'd take too much time to look up all the questions and post em. I don't mind answering them again. It keeps the thread alive for that much longer.
appropriate response is appropriate.

I know I can't protect her from everything, there's just too many sources that she can obtain all of the  knowledge from. But it woild be my duty as a father to help her understand about the stuff and hope that she respects herself enough to not become some type of floosie.

In other news, I have an abscess tooth and good lord was the er visit painful. Lil Lindsay has been real sweet to me the last couple of days with plenty of hugs and kisses. She understands I don't feel well and she does her best, sweet girl, to help her daddy feel better. This is one of the main reason I love my child. She's so empathic and sweet.

I haven't been sticking around this topic. How was her first birthday?

It was messy but good. Ended up losing two close family members on the same day shortly after. Good and bad times.

Sorry to hear that. :S
But yeah, good times and bad times.

Also, one year already, damn.
Best of luck to you and her. :)

Don't let her near this forum when she's older, ever.

My condolences :c

She's closing in on two years now. she's almost 19 months now. :)

I have done it. I've been debating it for years now and now I did it. I got my first Tattoo.

I am posting it here because it is totally related to the thread.

I can't even tell what that is :D

It's Lindsay's name in the Romulan language. I think it kicks ass. Very happy I got it.

Ohh, Okay that's pretty awesome. Only down side but kinda up side is you have to tell pretty much everyone you meet what it says.

That and in her teen years she'll probably be embarrassed when you tell her friends.

Actually, try telling nobody what it means, then someday curiosity will drive her to snap a photo of it and ask the internet, then be pleasantly surprised.

I was thinking this as well. But also it's a great conversation starter with other people. We had a little extra cash on hand so I got it while the timing was good.
