Author Topic: Kerbal Space Program, Or: How I learned to stop worrying and love THRUSTERRRSSSS  (Read 351528 times)

On a current note, I'm preparing my mission to duna

it will be a huge rocket built in orbit

so i just discovered the wonderful throttle controlled avionics which means my gigantic creations now have actual proper response. jesus recommends it.

Built a craft with a solar sail and plasma thruster on the reverse. Then I de-orbited it and crashed because I didn't like it that much. Too slow.

Then I made some flying wing craft (I didn't think this would fly but it was perfect on the first try)

after that I made a quad-copter that I had fun with

The best part was that in order for it to recharge, it had to come to a stand still and get turned off. Otherwise, the reactor couldn't sustain itself and the recharge.

Inspired by an SR-71

and MV-22 Osprey

oh we're posting fighter aircraft?

I made the harrier which actually switches between VTOL

It irks me that this is a 32 bit program only. I have gotten to the point where if I add just 1 more part to the game, It uses too much memory and crashes.

HMM THAT LOOKS AWFULLY SIMILAR TO THE ONE ROBBAZ MADE

HMM THAT LOOKS AWFULLY SIMILAR TO THE ONE ROBBAZ MADE
that's how the harrier looks

will it fly ladies and gentlemen

add some struts to stop the wings from wobbling and it should fly just fine. im blind
It'll be very stable, might want to keep your trim up a bit.

it flew like a drunken seal

i dare anyone to make a structurally sound flyable stealth bomber/fighter

done lol

turning circle is very wide just like a real bomber too. flies really stable and well though.

edit

took it for a test drive up way past the clouds, it has a pretty decent service ceiling of about 21,500M (without bomb load)

very stealthy against the night sky
