Battlefield 2 was total damage rape. It took like 3 hits in the chest to get a kill with the SVD, and atleast 15 shots with the spec ops guns. Bad Company was much better, and Battlefield 3 seems perfect.

Assuming you're basing that off the beta, I'm not sure about you but one shot to the chest with a pistol is too much damage to die.

anyone that canceled because the outdated BETA build had problems is a complete handicap and i would be very happy if they cancel their pre-orders. hardly anyone will do that.

Yeah I kno rite, they'd have to be nuts to cancel their pre-order after seeing how stuff the demo was.  Instead of judging on what they played they should instead base their perception of the game on someone else's opinion.

No matter what they say about the "beta" being an old version or whatever doesn't matter, it was meant to be a preview of the game.  If the final product is so vastly different from this version, then why release this version at all?*

EA/Dice really made a mistake here, regarding both origin and battlefield.  In the end I hope battlefield 3 is an amazing game, but after this incident I won't be purchasing it on release day.

It's better then 20 shots to the head with a pistol. The pistols in Battlefield 2 were a joke. The handheld guns seemed super underpowered, but the vehicle guns are pretty much all 1-2 hit kills.

All three platforms would of received the beta at the same time, only with the pc getting a more updated build. Overall though I think they should of not released the beta if they knew it didn't reflect the current build. Sadly though, they promised it a long time ago to people who pre-ordered that MOH game, so in that way they were kind of screwed.

I'm tired of my friend picking on BF3 and going all crazy over COD.
I must admit, MW2 is interesting. But in comparison with even BFBC2, it sucks.
BF3 is so cool-looking, and it's not in a cinematic. I mean, wtf, why would my friend diss a fun game, which is also super-smooth graphics and such, etc etc? What, is he mad you can't customize? forget that stuff, BF3 is amazing.
