I tried to get the Forgotten Hope mod to work in BF 1942, and it always crashes when loading an instant battle. I have the WW2 Anthologies, but I only installed the original. I tried it un-updated, that crashed. I updated it (with the mod still installed) and it still crashes. What do I do?

The old forgotten hope mod is really bugged up. I recommend you try re installing it. If that doesn't help then try to load a map several more times. Sometimes this happens with the desert combat mod and it crashes to desktop.

Also, in the event that it works download the Forgotten Hope Secret Weapons extension

If you can get enough people, you can do the Ratte Tank mode where one team has to work to destroy a ginormous  tank before they run out of tickets. The tank can carry an entire battle crew and is covered in turrets. the only way to destroy ratte is if you go inside the tank and throw gammon grenades into the ammo compartment.

But in any case, I have pretty much given up on that mod (as much as I want it) so I got the 1941 mod instead. It's still REALLY good.
