Author Topic: So I played Black Ops for the first time in months.  (Read 2385 times)

Everyone was really bad or I was really good.

That game is was too easy, no wonder I found it boring. :/

Did you play it on PC or console? I find that the PC version has much more skilled players, to the point where you die every 9 seconds if you don't go into a trance and play the game in slow motion in your brain.

Console. I got it for Xbox 360 because my friends are too stupid to buy a good PC.

i somehow got superpowers and started doing better than i usually do today

either that or i got some new taktiks that make me sooper 1337

or everyone just sucks

I have been playing Bad Company 2 lately on my PC.

I think that's why I was good. Considering the fact you need to use tactics in BC2, I tried a little in Blops and did a fair amount of damage to the enemy team.

When ever I think of Call of Duty, it just makes me even more hyped up for Battlefield 3, it is strange how that works, isnt it?

could someone please explain to me why battlefield and call of duty have such a huge war going on
they're the exact loving same generic brown "realistic" console shooter with ironsights, regen health, cover, bloody screens, mmo style leveling systems, and almost entirely scripted singleplayer campaigns

Right here is where I want to point out that you're a loving dumbass.
That war is just as real as the Blockland and Roblox war.

The "war" is a bunch of friend fanboys who, do what all fanboys do, and defend their game to the end.

Call of Duty is not a realistic shooter lol, it's more of a run and gun arcade-y shooter.

Battlefield is the one that boasts a more 'realistic' gameplay involving the use of tactics and control points to gain the upper hand on a big battle.

Ironsights are common. Idk about you, but I WANT to aim at enemies and not hipfire from 100 yards away. Health regen is whatever, an unfortunate part of games. Battlefield doesn't have that though i'm pretty sure HURP. You use cover in real life too. Now what? Using cover is mainstream? go away. Bloody screens are whatever too. MMO style leveling? It's not an MMO though lol.

TL;DR: Shut up

quake 3 had no ironsights whatsoever and it takes way more aiming skill to hit people in that
and battlefield has regen, it's just slow
also cover shooters loving blow. i want to be able to blast through a level hipfiring and just picking up healthpacks and not having to breathe heavily behind a desk every time i get shot

(click the pic, its a "no cover because you are loving great" game but still has ironsights).

EDIT: nvm you'd hate the game, it also has regenerating health which apparently ruins everything for you.

I don't know why you have such a hardon for old school games.  I like aiming down my sights.  I know that I can't magically heal behind a rock, but the point of getting killed when not behind a rock and still being alive when you are behind a rock is kind of keeping real.  Both Battlefield and the Call of Duty series are based (at least loosely) on modern warfare, and to our generation this is typically the war in Iraq and Afghanistan (I wonder what they're going to do when they're done though).  I dislike the MMO leveling too to a degree.  Unless you're grinding away like a madman, shooting hours at it and employing absolute precision and winning everything you will have to work up to the good weapons.

then go play quake 3 and stop complaining because you cannot blow through every game using the same play type by killing everything, running around and never dying.

ironsights can be good, but they're just so loving played out now
take the stalker series, they managed to pull off ironsights fairly well
also games that actively try to be ~*realistic*~ blow

then go play call of duty and stop complaining because you cannot blow through every game using the same loadout/weapons/perks by using autoaim, sprinting around and dying a lot

This made little to know sense.
Come back when you know what you're arguing about.
