This.
Baseball bats, brass knuckles and cleavers ftw.
I haven't even found a gun yet and I'm the gun specialty girl lolwat.

You start seeing guns near the end of Act I.

Guns are pretty necessary when you are fighting humans.
It's hard to get close to them before they gun you down, but with a gun you can get headshot kills.

they aren't really plot spoilers, you encounter groups of looters in the city and stuff who have taken to a "everything for myself get the forgetout of here or I'll shoot you" mentality.

How long is this game? It's only 6 GB whereas Left 4 Dead 2 is way higher than that, and Left 4 Dead 2 doesn't seem to have that many campaigns

Left 4 Dead 2 is like 7.5 GB I thought.
It isn't that long if you don't do any side quests. But its all based on how you play it.

Install size isn't really indicative of game length. Dead Island has a large open world, so you spend a lot of time exploring the same large areas. Open world games are almost always longer than level based, like L4D2. L4D2 has smaller areas, but much more of them. Less time in each = less time overall.

Completely true.

Oblivion only requires 4.6 GB, and that game is pretty long no matter how it is played.

Gotcha.

unless you just play through the main story, that can be finished really quickly.

I extracted the music files and then i found out why i've never heard it repeat, 75 hours of music. Over 70 of the files are over an hour long.
