See the thing with all that you just mentioned is a completely different series, they are not remakes. This movie is a direct prequel from the original film or the remake, most likely the remake.
This is the original Planet of the Apes from
1968. It's pretty stuff to be honest, because film making has evolved so much since then it really can't hold a candle to what we have today. Is this the thing that you loved and experienced as a child in late-1960s America that you just can't stand to see remade?

This is the 2001 remake, the one most people today are familiar with.

This new movie is a prequel to the 2001 remake of Planet of the Apes, so it's a new series of movies on its own, just like Dark Knight and the new Avenger movies. Granted the original Planet of the Apes was a stuffty movie to begin with and its remake shared that quality the Tron remake had by being a fun action movie with a handicapped premise, but that doesn't mean you should nostalgia rage over a remake to a franchise that you're parents weren't even around to have nostalgia for.
