Tony bitches about everything god damn just shut up. The movie looks like stuff but you're criticizing it on a handicapped nostalgia that you aren't entitled to.

I'm criticizing it about the potential stuff that is about to happen.

What if it's good? Like loving Toy Story 3 god damn it.

I really hope it's good.

Toy Story 3 is not a remake or prequel and they had most of the original staff working on it. Name 10 staff members from the original planet of the apes film that is working on this movie.

Dark Knight, Thor, Tron, Transformers, etc.

All remakes/reboots that had pretty much none of the original staff working on them but were pretty kick-ass movies in their own right.

See the thing with all that you just mentioned is a completely different series, they are not remakes. This movie is a direct prequel from the original film or the remake, most likely the remake.

Irrevelant because the Dark Knight is a whole new series, they are not remakes to the original batman movies.

All sequels, remakes and prequels always turn into crap. Anyone remember the Godzilla movie with Mathew Broderick?

Well not all sequels, however most do turn out bad. Sequels from a remake of an original almost always flop.

Sounds like the directors need to be hit with a monkey wrench. Are we still doing ape puns?

"Get your filthy hands off a' me you damn, dirty ape!"

Why say that :c

This is the original Planet of the Apes from 1968. It's pretty stuff to be honest, because film making has evolved so much since then it really can't hold a candle to what we have today. Is this the thing that you loved and experienced as a child in late-1960s America that you just can't stand to see remade?

This is the 2001 remake, the one most people today are familiar with.

This new movie is a prequel to the 2001 remake of Planet of the Apes, so it's a new series of movies on its own, just like Dark Knight and the new Avenger movies. Granted the original Planet of the Apes was a stuffty movie to begin with and its remake shared that quality the Tron remake had by being a fun action movie with a handicapped premise, but that doesn't mean you should nostalgia rage over a remake to a franchise that you're parents weren't even around to have nostalgia for.
