No. I wish I could pull up a verse from the Bible explaining this but I don't have it open right now. God doesn't want us to be slaves forced into believing in Him and worshipping Him. He gave us freedom for the same reason citizens in the US have freedom.
if we are so free why do we go to hell if we don't believe in him then?

Actually the Earth orbits in an ellipse. -snip- Just passing through for science.

Thank you, this shows how the Earth was put in a perfect position. Draw it on a map and if you make a larger or smaller eclipse, we surpass the "liveable" area.

I think religion was made up by people who had no faith in the world and wanted something to believe

No history class for you? Religion was the initial belief in the world.

Ahh, this is because we are free to choose paths - God or away from Him. Like I said, He isn't going to force you to worship Him because he wants a free world - although this freedom causes more pain than good. Freedom was what brought about sin.

This is the Utopia argument. In Utopia everything is all rainbow and butterflies - but you can't do anything out of bounds that you want to do or believe. Think of the difference between America and China - God put the world on America's system.

I dont believe in the big bang theory.
I didnt mean to say you did i was just pointing out how incredibly stupid it is.
Don't be mad, I'm so sorry!
Apology accepted. :3

I'm not saying anything about god. Just correcting the idea that we are in a special place. The ellipse would need to be millions of miles off course to make recognizable life impossible. The earth isn't special, there is a pretty giant band around every star, one of which happens to have earth in it. There are 3*10^23 stars in the observable universe. One is bound to be habitable. Don't break science, kid, Bill Nye will kick your ass.

It has been proven that if we were something like 17 cm closer to the sun the earth would be too hot to be inhabited and if we were that far back it would bee to cold.

What you said did not correct the idea that we were in a special place for me. It just enforced it. We are in an eclipse like every planet, and our eclipse seems to be perfect for life. Larger/smaller eclipses would not be suitable.

It has been proven that if we were something like 17 cm closer to the sun the earth would be too hot to be inhabited and if we were that far back it would bee to cold.

By that logic, if I stood on a ladder at high noon (putting me 10 feet closer to the sun directly above me), I would cease to be in a habitable area. The next time I burst into flames when cleaning my gutter I'll tell you.

Not at all. By moving something as large as the entire Earth, you are completely moving its atmosphere and enlargening or decreasing the size of the eclipse.

But I said the earth varies in distance by 3.1 million miles ಠ_ಠ

Did you read what I wrote? If you push us out further or closer to the sun, the eclipse also becomes larger or smaller. Therefore by making us closer or further, the amount that the Earth's distance varies in relation to the sun also increases.

Don't you just love when people thank god for all the small little things that happen in their life, forgetting that by that logic, god took the time to say, put a few dollars on the street for you to find, while letting hundreds of people die each minute.
