You obviously lack an understanding of the point of this game. It's for flying spacecraft into space and through space in real time full scale. Collision with other objects in game is NOT the primary goal. Besides, there is an addon that gives vessel collision as well as surface base collision. You can SEARCH the Orbiter addon repository (http://www.orbithangar.com/) and find this addon.
