Rawbutbull, Pandemonium and others just play the game for fun and show videos for friends, and Rawbutbull is nearing 500 subs for that. All you gotta do to be "popular" is not be a tryhard and just have fun.

Even thought I think Minecraft helped a lot of youtubers get popular. Take the YogsCast for instance, I had never even heard of them until Minecraft came out.
I mean, forget, They probably have 50,000 subs when their Minecraft videos first came out, now they're up o 700,000 subs, in like a few months.

Now doubt in my mind they will be the first gaming channel to reach 1,000,000

stuff dude, just watch the yogscast, onemoderatelyfunnggamer, or kevin (his youtube name is zxxx and a stuffload of other stupid stuff). they have comedy, some other gamers like callmepuddles just have a knack for keeping you interested. you don't know if you're going to be popular unless you try and find away to make yourself known.

If you need someone who always plays video games without having any sense of what they're doing, then you should search Tobuscus. He's yet to play Minecraft though. I can't wait. His LA Noire driving skills are the best (at crashing into things).

Also Davidr64yt (or X) is pretty good, eh did a god-tier minecraft series and doesn't fraid of playing lots of interesting games

Plus he's smarter than simon and more informed than lewis (I like the yogscast but simon acts stupid and lewis is just uninformed of alot of things and makes stupid assumsions and their british way of saying things ("eitha" instead of "a-ther") pisses me off) and is just a pretty cool guy in general.
