THE BEST WEAPON CHOICE?

Bow & Arrow - I like to sneak around and kill from afar!
Melee - Stealth and Mage characters are just wimps. Real men use swords!
Magic - Both Sword and Bow are rendered useless against my spells!

get that info bitch I don't like feeling left out when it comes to Skyrim news

ok here it is.

-First off, the game was demo'd by Todd and he played as a level 34 Nord named Prisoner, lol

-The demo shown was basically the one shown at e3 with a few differences (it showed most of what was cut out in e3 footage, the audience had a little input into the choices todd made  evry1 in the hall yelled KILL IT whenever they saw a living organism xD

-Foxes are in

-Todd passed a river and i got a pretty good look at it; there was a higher part of the river and it rushed down to a lower part of the stream to create a waterfall/rriver rapids kinda thing, and salmon swam and jumped up out of the water trying escape the rapid stream)

-fish can be caught and cooked/eaten; whether this suggests traditional fishing rod-wasnt mentioned

-Everyone in the audience yelled "GET IN THE WATER!" but Todd only gave a little teaser of the water by wading around in the water just enough to create waves lol

-next was Riverwood, if i remember correctly; Todd walked through the same area as in the e3 footage and the screenshot of Riverwood, except i got to see a bit more than just that- he walked by a small group of kids accompanied by a large brown dog.....as evry1 again screamed KILL THEM

-he walked to the man grinding the sword like in the e3 footage, and then he walked over to a lumberyard worker that moved a very large log onto a cutting board type object where he began to chop as Todd walked away

-he later mounted a horse and rode up through the icy mountains to Bleak Fall Barrow, where he encountered a dragon but soon ran into the bleak falls barrow dungeon, where he encountered the same two bandits...killed them both with a bow and began to look through the UI for appropiate weapons for the next area; he chose to dual wield an Imperial Sword and a Glass sword (the greenish one in the e3 demo)

-starting to forget the order of these events ._.

-at one point in the demo, Todd dual wieled dtect life and frenzy which allowed him to locate nearby ene,ies and send one attacking another

-back near the river earlier mentioned, Todd encountered waht looked to be a bosmer or at at least some type of elf--and killed him

-I remember Todd looking at the Perk/Skill interface and noticed pickpocketing as its very own skill

-when the dragon came around in the large open grassland area near whiterun (part of e3 demo that shows mammoths, the giant was picked up again but this time there was actually a rag doll affect after the giant was released from the dragons grasp)

-Dark Brotherhoof confirmed!  as Todd investigated a note with a black hand on it he let ppl that dint know what it was that it meant the Dark Brotherhood was back, and also added something along the lines of "and it has an interesting faction line" meaning it IS joinable ))

-collectors edition contains map, 1 foot dragon statue of Alduin ontop of a word wall, a conceptual art book with around 200 pages :PPP and a special case for disc(s)

-Skyrim main menu (at least of this unfinished version--pictured the word SKYRIM and the menu simple consisted of a simple "continue" "new game" "load game" and "downloadable content"

-the detect life spell highlighted nearby ppl in blue instead of purple ppl like in Oblivion

-the detect life and frenzy spells were not combined in the demo although many yelled at Todd "COMBINE EM!!" i found out from another source- italian xbox 360 magazine??? that spells like this that are different cannot be combined

-the demo was shown on xbox360; Todd mentioned briefly after saying this that pc version looks wayyyy better and as far as ps3, nothing was mentioned but no need to worry..he has stated previously that ps3 and xbox360 version will be equivalent..fair enough

-frenzy is a red spell and detect life is a purple spell

-Todd used Frost Rune twice; one time against a pair of wolves while in Bleak Falls Barrow dungeon and once against a giant spider--he ejected the spell out of his characters hand and toward the ground like a frag mine from fallout 3 and it created a glowing blue symbol on the ground and when the wolves ran over it it exploded and just epicly pwned the two wolves but the spider was stronger and it merely weakened the creature

-books are viewed in a 3d viewer like any other item and the reader can flip the pages and look through the book three-dimentionally

-the Dragon Claw that Todd chased after in the Bleak Falls Barrow was a valuable item when Todd encountered a door with three concentric stone circles, each with an owl, a bear, and sumthin else lol...anyways.. the cal itself displayed the correct sequence of the symbol arrangement that would open the large mechanical door

also, he said water looks much better than oblivion.

when they say collector's edition, do I automatically get that from preordering?

no its like $150 bucks, it would be worth it if they put in like, a beer stein or something.

ok here it is.

What I think they're going to do with spell combinations is only let one combine spells of the same school.

That small dragon statue and cd case and artwork is not worth the extra $90.

I'll just stick with the map from a preorder.

no, I'm pretty sure that you can only combine the same spell, they said that in the past

yea, how do you combine fire and water spells wtf would that even do.

Water spells?
What?

Water spells?
What?
Water is very effective in the elder scrolls games. Hydrate that zombie 'til he's too swelled to walk.

Regardless, by combine did you mean duel wielding (For example, fireball in one hand and ice in the other), or actually fusing the two spells together to create one (For example, a spell that does fire and frost damage)? :o

Like the Bow of Infernal Frost... Nvm.
The latter.

Ooh, maybe swinging a weapon around in the water will actually make a splash. :o

I meant fusing, and I'm pretty sure they don't let you do it.

But anyway, I just read the collectors edition article on the elder scrolls website and it said that the prioce is 150 USD and 150 euros. That sucks for you Europeans since you have to technically pay more.
