THE BEST WEAPON CHOICE?

Bow & Arrow - I like to sneak around and kill from afar!
Melee - Stealth and Mage characters are just wimps. Real men use swords!
Magic - Both Sword and Bow are rendered useless against my spells!

You've seen a few screenshots and a short gameplay video. Stop getting caught up in the hype.
The gameplay footage wasnt really short.

It was a half hour, and what we saw from that half hour was amazing.

full scale elder scrolls across a continent can be done, just not for consoles :)

I'm not.
I'm a huge fan boy of Bethesda and have loved every game they put out.
THere is nothing that they can do to Skyrim to make it bad. Up until Skyrim comes out, Oblivion is my favorite game.

I hate that you suggest that I'm getting caught up in the hype.

Lol.
I cant imagine how much space it would take up.

Or perhaps if you made each province its own cell, entering it when you crossed the border?
I don't know how much memory that would save, but probably not much. Even so it would hardly be worth it considering the immensity of all these provinces.

You just said you're a fanboy. Fanboys invariably get caught up in the hype.

No kidding.

It would take them more than 4 years to make a game of that scale and the player would be too overwhelmed by the massiveness.

I didn't get "caught up" in the hype because there is no hype. All of my excitement for this game comes from the stuff I've seen and past experiences. I love Bethesda's work so when they first announced I was excited.

Bethesda needs to make a game about an elderly man walking on the sidewalk.

It will be called... The Elder Strolls...

I doubt I'd be overwhelmed, although it'd certainly give me a headache to think how much effort would have gone into a game set on an entire continent.
All those quests, all those NPCs, all those dungeons, all those tribal bastards who don't like Argonians...

I still would be mad if they work on a game for like 10 years.

If they gave us nothing to make all that time seem like two minutes, I would be.
There are other games and other game companies than Bethesda, mind. Just none as badass as the next big Elder Scrolls game.

I know, but 4 years is enough :(

Gosh waiting 4 months is bad enough for me, how do you wait 4 years haha.
I guess just the latest demo and screenshots just hype up excitement.
