THE BEST WEAPON CHOICE?

Bow & Arrow - I like to sneak around and kill from afar!
Melee - Stealth and Mage characters are just wimps. Real men use swords!
Magic - Both Sword and Bow are rendered useless against my spells!

I would understand it better if Oblivion had a better gameplay mechanic.

You don't need to understand. Just accept that we like to use the game for role playing and you do not. Leave it at that.

again you dont have to understand it.

Us roleplayers can look past the gameplay, and have fun.
You cant.

>You: Moves fork slightly, not stealing it.
>Everyone: A THIEF, GET HIM!
That's if you purposely decide to start moving it.
Which that button is pretty much a pick up but keep out of inventory.

The reason is that people would be able to drag items out of view and steal them while out of sight, that's why it's a crime.

When did I say I haven't had fun? I was role playing the entire time until I started becoming a super human by accident.

Here's how they could easily fix that. Prevent grab on items you have to steal for. Any items that aren't marked as "steal" you can grab them. Also every time you drop a stolen item it shouldn't be marked as "Steal" anymore.

Damn I should be working for Bethesda.

You clearly went out of your way to be come a super hero. A true roleplayer would try his best to stay average.

This.
Also, if you weren't stubborn and refusing to get mods you could get a mod called Put it in its Place. Which makes it so that you can pic up and move objects whenever you want, it even allows you to gain loyalty/hate from a person by arranging the objects in their home/shop.
Say you accidentally knock a book off the shelf you are able to pick it up and replace, the NPC will then like you more for your good deed.
Or you can randomly pick stuff up and throw it around and they will hate you for making a mess.

I had it all picked out, I started as a knight class. However I wasn't able to get much money for a 1,000 gold house so I started becoming a thief. Then someone told me about the thief's guild, blah blah blah I became the grey fox. Then hours of gameplay later I became incredibly strong with two handed swords and I wanted to work on other things like archery. I figured out how well archery went if you were crouched because of critical hits. So I then started raiding areas with the cowl and bow equipped. At this point I may have finished about 50+ quests most of which gave me special powers and weapons. Then I wanted to try practicing some magic and now I have the power to summon, buff myself, add magic to my weapons, etc. After this people started to wear glass armor or higher. I've been raking in over 10,000+ gold per cave/ruin/dungeon since.

Not to mention I've collected special items like the lock pick that never breaks, the Fin Gleam for swimming the Cowl for dungeons, plenty of other weapons, etc.

Good for you!

You do realize that the game was made for you to progress like that, right?

No because it was my first playthrough and I became super powered. Any true RPG will leave you poor and semi-decent at fighting throughout the whole game no matter what. Or if not poor at least successful at a job rather than making a living off raiding.

I don't like your idea of a "true rpg".

But why must you ignore every post that requests an end to this arguing and instead you choose to argue.

I've come to the conclusion that you're just trolling at this point, you know your opinion, you know our opinions and yet you must keep forcing your opinion upon us.

I don't like your idea of a "true rpg".

A true RPG would limit your character, just like there is limits in real life. You can't expect to jump 500 times a day in real life and then be able to jump tall buildings after you go to bed.

I disagree, I believe it should have limitless possibilities and I am free to do as I please. I like to use my imagination to enhance the experience of the game. WHile you apparently would rather the game force you to play the role.

But again, you ignore all posts regarding ending this.

Did you seriously just disregard his post and decide to argue about a single thing he said?
