THE BEST WEAPON CHOICE?

Bow & Arrow - I like to sneak around and kill from afar!
Melee - Stealth and Mage characters are just wimps. Real men use swords!
Magic - Both Sword and Bow are rendered useless against my spells!

Oblivion's lockpicking system pissed me off. It's nice to know that you can pick any difficulty lock without "HURR DURR THIS LOCK IS SOMEHOW TO ADVANCED FOR YOU AND YOU CAN'T EVEN GIVE IT A SHOT DESPITE IT BEING THE SAME AS ALL THE OTHERS DURR HURR"
How does it piss you off your post contradicts itself jskdhfkjsdhkf

the lockpicking system was already revealed

"But if you're hoping your lockpicking experience will be as frustrating/rewarding as it was in Oblivion, fear not/get pissed, because Hines admits Skyrim's version will be "almost kind of sort of exactly like [Fallout 3]."  That's stuffty news for those of us who spent so much time breaking picks only to find that closing your eyes and listening to the lock in Oblivion was the key.  Hines believes that the Fallout version is more intuitive -- which in some cases it is -- but that one aural idiosyncrasy in Oblivion was what made the process so masochistically enjoyable."

:(

I'm pretty sure that a lock from 2077 would be unlike a lock from 4E200. But hey, they're different timestreams so who knows?

He said almost like Fallout 3.

Im pretty sure you wont have a bobby pin and a screw driver when you want to pick a lock in Skyrim.

I never understood how to lockpick in Fallout 3.

Really?

I found it a lot more fun. Anyways, all you have to do is move the bobbypin around until you find a spot where It wont break.

I liked Fallout's lockpick system.

Since it relied more on your skill level than the Oblivion perfect lifting tumblers system.

I wish the lockpicking minigame was more realistic.

The Fallout lockpicking system was really well done. Even if you forgeted up the lock is still the same so you can retry and eventually get it. With the tumbler system, if you forget it up tough stuff, you start all the way over. I got use to the noise the tumblers make though, so I usually pick every lock on the first try.

That's what makes it unrealistic. When picking real locks, if you forget up, too bad. You gotta start over. If a door/chest is locked, it should be a challenge to get in. Call me weird, but I want a lockpicking minigame that's as difficult and frustrating as real life.

This.

I could make a new account in Oblivion, go through the dungeon and break open every possible door in the imperial prison because the system is so easy, in probably under 10 lockpicks. Give us a challenge and make us work for the loot in those dungeon chests.

Or make it harder to release every prisoner, whatever works.

I hope Skyrim prisons have more than the five or so prisoners in Oblivion.

>Huge Imperial Prison
>Valen Dreth is the only prisoner

???

I bet the Shivering Isles had more prisoners than the original game itself.

You mean, when you visit a jail there is people to talk to?
Yes please.

I want to break them out.
