Ok, well I had to delete my New Vegas character because I forgeted up my saves. He was lvl 13. RIP.

Anyways, next character, what skills should I tag?

May I ask, why science and repair?
I would have thought guns and lockpicking would be better.

nah dont level up weapon skills at first, youll be okay starting with those lower. things like speech and repair help out alot more. maybe switch sciene for lockpicking if you so desire though.

i'd vote repair, guns, and sneak, personally, it'll help for low levels to get a boon when trying to avoid some of the more difficult enemies.

I'm stuck on New World Blues :I
I'm trying to get to x-13 but I get completely raped by nightstalkers and the robotic dog things every time I try to go in that direction

I tried running on the pipes, I got stopped by the Lobotomite with the flamer-gun-thing

May I ask, why science and repair?
I would have thought guns and lockpicking would be better.

Guns is eh, lockpicking is good though

Science is only helpful with New World Blues imo

And you would DEFINITELY need repair. It's extremely helpful once you get the rarer guns

I like doing speech, science and repair because it allows you to complete most skill checks in the game.

Weapon skills aren't really useful, I can kill most things successfully without.


I went Cazador hunting without any points invested in weapon skills and I didn't die.

I just found some enclave armor in an area with a bunch of deathclaws. There was two death claw mothers, one death claw alpha and about 10 weaker death claws. I placed stuffloads of mines and I severely weaked the death claw alpha and two mothers with two fatmen mini nukes.

I tag survival if I plan to play hardcore mode.
Otherwise I don't touch that skill.
