It's some sort of macro key addition, some "gaming" keyboards come with them but they're actually pretty god damn useless since you usually have both of your hands busy while gaming, to move your left hand off the WASD is a stupid idea that will get you killed

My G19 and G13 both have programmable macro keys.
What you do, is you set some of them to WASD so you have the extra keys around them that can be binded to anything as well. It's also more comfortable than WASD and in the case of my G13, you have a thumb joystick as well for whatever.
