TF2's meant to be a stylized, simplistic looking game with distinguishable objects and distinct character silhouettes. I'm happy that Valve didn't go in the direction of other muddy, realistic shooters.

The TF2 developers knew that all shooters devolve into comedy anyways, and ran with it.

TF2's cartoony aspect is seriously the winning point for me. It's like the original Red vs Blue where there's two teams living in one comedic universe and only exist to kill each other.

I don't like TF2 because when I downloaded it and shot a guy directly with a rocket launcher, he didn't die.

Fortress forever was so good.

Technically, that was Team fortress classic, right?

Personally I think they've did this so they could attract more followers.

Rocket launchers take away about 1/3 or 1/4 of a standard (Pyro, Soldier, Demoman, etc.) player's health. One-hit-kills would be stupid.
