I'll continue on with my adventures in case anyone is reading.
Today, determined to become a necromancer, I pulled out my world map and plotted a course to the nearest tower. It was an easy journey, with the only danger coming from feeding off of villagers in the night. (Thankfully, no one woke up). When I got there I found the stack of books on the first floor. I was surprised to read The Hills, My Love and find out that the writing was "cheery" and was "written by someone with compassion." There was also the book, Annihilation: Abridged, this got me the results I was looking for.
With my newly found necromancer powers I set about to kill a plains titan. Unlike the desert and hill titan I slew before him, the plains titan had a ranged attack and was much more durable. After I realized that my sword was having trouble de-limbing him, I decided to raise the 32 corpses in my view from the dead. I then calmly walked away and watched him get swarmed from afar.
Satisfied with my spike in power, I journeyed to the lair of a dragon. When I arrived at the lair, I spotted several pieces of steel armor, which I planned to loot afterwards. I also saw some dragon eggs that interested me. I planned on picking these up and using them as throwing weapons, or maybe seeing if they would hatch. In the main room of the lair, there was no dragon present. Rather than venturing further in, for fear of dragon fire, I raised the local corpses. Unfortunately, these corpses provoked the dragon just out of my sight and the room filled with smoke and fire. I was not able to see my own body, and for whatever reason could not move at all. (In hindsight I realize that some of my raised corpses probably blocked the way and I needed to get on the ground and crawl between them). I consistently blocked the dragon fire, but knew that it would eventually get through. It did get through and I; Zasit Roastedpost the Wail of Lights, swordmaster, necromancer, vampire; was melted alive.
Sadly, my backup was made before I became a necromancer.
