Author Topic: The problem I have with "Innovative Gameplay"  (Read 1872 times)

But the comic, movie, and game were all amazing :C

I have to admit, the movie was pretty cool, too.

It's just the comics aren't all that good.

What we want is nintendo to stop running their existing franchises into the ground and come up with something new.

False keyword being used here.

"We". You're not talking for everyone, shut the forget up.

Wii game makers seized the motion sensors, but in really forgeted-up ways.

NFS Carbon, the default ontrol scheme is im-loving-possible. You need to switch around between 5 really stuffty control schemes to find one that isn't quite as awkward as the others. And they are all awkward.

I use scheme 5, and it still seems as forgeted-up as when I began. I beat Carbon already.

But the comic, movie, and game were all amazing :CWhy should we take Sonic as an example? That series is absolute stuff

And why?
I think it's because of all the stuffty gimmicks.

Page loss.

And by new I mean a whole new franchise, not another spin off.

For once I agree with Tony, Nintendo is just trying to squeeze the money out of everything they can and they're running out of good ideas.

A few Mario games is fine but when you have ~100 it gets old.

I have:
Mario Kart Wii
Mario Kart DS
New Super Mario Bros. Wii
Super Mario 64 DS
Mario Sports Mix
Mario Super Sluggers

Yeah... I'm starting to agree

Yes, the music adds to atmosphere. It's just that if you're only trying to sell a game for atmosphere, you're practically selling interactive movies.
Music with an interactive visualization. After all, movies are intended to look good.

The only three games I really enjoyed were Mario Kart Wii where the motion sensor really worked, SSBB because I like the fighting elements and Monster Hunter Tri for not being a loving gimmick.
There's about 4 games I enjoyed on the Wii. SSBB but I'll agree that melee is better, though that doesn't mean brawl sucked. Mario Kart Wii was actually pretty fun, as the motion was pretty simple and effective, actually enhancing the gameplay. No More Heroes didn't use the motion very much, and was a pretty interesting game. Also Okami which I just recently got, but that's not a Wii exclusive. The motion controls on it can get annoying sometimes.

They aren't first party nintendo games. I am talking about first party nintendo games like mario, kirby, Zelda, etc.

Name one NEW first party nintendo game between 2006-2011.
But this topic isn't just about first party games.

If Naughtydog kept making Crash Bandicoot we wouldn't have Jak and Daxter and uncharted. It's a good thing they ended Crash Bandicoot too because their last game was a go-kart spin off.

If David Jaffe kept making Twisted Metal we wouldn't have God of War.

The problem is that specific games have a huge fanbase and thus they want to keep the same thing going. There isn't a fanbase for "unexisting game that has to be produced yet" and that's why they can't actually know that they could profit with something more original.
And even though. Most of the original and newer games are bullstuff anyways. They get rated like crap and that's why they go by "Cobbler, stick to your trade".

Every time sega previews a new sonic game.

I hope the new Twisted Metal isn't completely ruined by the transformers gimmick they added in.

Nintendo is finally doing something new!

It's Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time but ported to wii for those who want that true feeling of swinging your sword around!

I hope the new Twisted Metal isn't completely ruined by the transformers gimmick they added in.

It's actually just a mech and it works the same as Sweet Tooth's prototype mech in Twisted Metal: Black.

Oh, marketing. You just had to broker deals with Transformers.

Businesses remind me more of government every day.

I thought it was Skyward Sword.
Don't get me wrong, I'm excited about it, but couldn't you just play Sports Resort for the whole sword thing?

-bla-
What I likehate the most is the fact that Sonic Colors and Sonic Gen. have the same loving gameplay like Sonic Unleashed minus werewolf levels and in Gen. plus oldschool in gaylovingbullcrap 3D bullstuff.
Screw you sega sonic team.

I never actually played Twisted Metal: Black, so yeah, I wouldn't know.
