First, this is like a game operating system and it is very complexe for a lot of topics. Some of you already tested the automatic updater, know that we are synchronizing profile on our side that all the titles will be in one executable etc. I am not sure Steam would fit in Steam, like I am not sure an internet browser would fit in an internet browser. it is a distant comparison and we may even look after supporting Steam in addition to the stand alone platform, but we concentrate on the game at the moment.

Second, Maniaplanet is a collection of titles. It has it's own reasons to be together and to provide to the users an inner circle of thrust and also of products, off course. In Maniaplanet, all the titles will share the capacities of a user powered platform, you will have only one account and a single layer of software, you will have one support system, one taste, one standard of quality and one level of thrust.

My computer might not support this game since it hardly ran Trackmania nations forever.

just a fyi, but trackmania is only going to come with environment, and it's going to cost 25$ to get more environments; which i think will come in packs of 3.

The business around maniaplanet should be simple. We expect to sell each 'Title' (one environment for a game, like TM² Canyon for example) separately at a reasonable price. All the titles could be use independently but they combine themselves into a single place: maniaplanet.

the price of each title will be independent. You can see this as smaller game release more often. The goal is to make a continuous release. If we release three environment in the year, at 19€90 each for example, then it would make you pay 59€70 each year for the three different environments and getting at the same time the online and engine evolution. And if you prefer only TM² and QM, for example, you can take only two and it will cost you less.
pretty loving disappointed in nadeo, i was going to actually buy this, then suddenly it's going to cost more than a AAA-title vidya game.

there's no collisions between players. it's basically a time-attack game where you can see other cars driving around.

We are working harder than ever to make it work on smallest graphic processor as possible.

Sure it could be nicer on bigger, but it is quite nice and at a very good framerate on little configuration. It is even hard to believe (but obviously, we have too, since we did it ourselves ) our test map in TM² runs at 50-60 fps on a Acer Revo that I bought one year ago. It does not mean it will at release or multiplayer, but we think it is even faster than Nations.
