Author Topic: New computer?  (Read 1474 times)

HP is literally dead. They had a confrence call saying all their hardware (phones, pc's, etc.) will be discontinued very soon.

Dell is quite nice, but a guy like me wants all this new tech not on manufactured PC's.

I'm building my new one, so yeah.
I wish i could :c

Trying to configure the best one for your needs, not that I ever recommend buying a Dell.
They charge $350 for the upgrade from 6GB to 12GB RAM. My loving god.
$150 for the upgrade from 6GB 1333 to 6GB 1600. loving hell.

You get the $3000 budget.
But you have to buy it from Dell?

The forget?

Knowing manufacturers like Dell, they're probably still using older parts until they can incorporate today's hardware into their designs, but by then we'll have newer hardware.

Is that seriously all you can get for $3000?
That's possible on $1000 building one yourself, and just a little bit more from another brand.

It's a bit of a conflicting statement when your father says he wants quality and will only have a Dell.

I have a 3000 budget, but i don't want to spend all of my dads money, id feel bad, he is using a computer with XP and half a gig of ram.

Rich forget.

Does it have to be Dell?

He's giving the chance for you to do it. TAKE THE CHANCE.

I'd feel guilty, even if he did offer me that money. Cause he told me he was going to originally use the money to buy a new computer for himself..

Use 1500, he uses 1500.

I though that too.

1500$ is more than enough to buy great computers for both of you, just not from Dell.

I though that too.
Please talk to him, and tell him that Dell is all just fancy advertising and relies on gullible customers who think they are really good computers.
They are the worst prebuilt brand.
