Clients lag out due to 'connection timed out' as in, they haven't gotten a response from the server for too long.

The host is immune to this because the host of a non-dedicated server IS the non-dedicated server.

Although that's just due to default events being abused. Then you consider the many moron hosts that somehow become popular and use events that could actually crash you.

..When did this turn into a 'How to crash people' topic?

beginning of page 2 i think

Yes, they wouldn't get network lag, but they could still get FPS lag or intense CPU usage to the point of being completely unplayable.
There were also many glitches (most have been fixed, some may be unfixed, I don't know, I don't abuse them) that caused either an irrecoverable lockup of the game, or a complete crash.

I tried to make sure bugs I became aware of were brought to the higher ups as soon as possible. The only bug I know of right now can't instantly grab the attention of those effected, and doesn't even work on a majority of people.

Ok, seriously, can it ppl.

Things dont work in the same way I expected so I have to put it on hold.

But I have gotten crashed in a different way before.

I had an older version of a file the host had. I killed a monster that was in the new version but not the old one. I got an Invalid Ghosting Packet console error and got disconnected.

BAM!

Yeah, and I would not be FORCING badspot to make a new update, poor choice of words, i would more be 'motivating' him, so to speak. And if it doesnt crash the server, then we have a new customization possibility.

You can't fix the packet error. The point is two things don't match up, and it disconnects you to prevent worse errors. Seriously, what do you expect a fix for this to be? Tell me. You act like you know it's something fixable when it's the same across most games.

What the hell are you talking about?

What the hell are you talking about?

What am I not seeing which makes me wrong? He was complaining about his game and the server not matching up which d/c's him, and requesting fixes to the game. Or was he just randomly putting that in despite the rest of his post?

What I would like to see is a paint effect that can darken/lighten a bricks color. A feature like this would triple color set usage.

Back to ideas.

What the hell are you talking about?
What the hell are either of them talking about?

What I am talking about is a possibility of giving the HOST ghosting packet errors, though it depends on how some things are handled by Blockland. Unfortunately I may never get to test it due to the fact that I cannot get my hands on  a program I need, so I am asking that we stop talking about that and go back to unrelated ideas. I did send Badspot a pm regarding the possibility as well as an idea that would make the possibility a moot point.

Back to ideas now plz.

you want to give the host packet errors? how is that a good thing?

You can't give the host a packet error.

I SAID its a moot point now, back to ideas!
