In NationStates, you assume control of your very own nation. You shape its education, welfare, military, social policies, every citizen's daily lives. You can create your own idealist (in your opinion) utopia, or you can deliberately oppress and confine your citizens.

You can join the WA, the NationStates equivalent of the United Nations. The WA will propose different resolutions separate from your nation's resolutions. The WA versions will encompass the world over, and every WA member in the world will have to comply.
Life in the WA isn't all bad. You can, using your WA power, vote for who will be the regional delegate (it is currently Shocklink, who IMO is horribly inactive and we need a change) and this delegate can throw your region's power into the voting ring and get us a better chance at what we want.
It's a fun casual government sim. I am not sure of the identities of all blocklanders to their nationstates, but I personally rule Vegzombia and have Genericnameland as an alt, which both reside in The Land of Blockish Landscapes.
