I think it would be better if you were to learn on your own the repercussions of negative actions rather than being grounded.
detention and suspension in school are a lot like being groundedthey restrict you for certain things for a period of timeduring that time you're (supposed) to think about what you did and how to not do it again/make the situation better/resolve what you've done
I don't think it's very effective. With my personality, at least, I get pissed really easily and being grounded for a week for me would be a week to boil in anger, pretty much.
...Not letting me go somewhere is just making me wish I were dead...
If I were a parent I'd stage a fake kidnapping to scare the stuff out of my kidWhich is why I'm not a parent
You can get killed outside at any time no matter how "safe" it is.
You can also choke on food, so don't eat food.
Yes of course, but that doesn't mean you're going to always die from choking food. You can choke on it but choking is an involuntary reaction to items or objects getting caught in the windpipe to your lungs. Because nothing should be going there your body starts to push it back up by violently forcing air out of your lungs to push it up, out and over to your esophagus. Or for you to spit out.I see your point but eating food is necessary to survive anyway. I'm talking about thinks like people with weapons, reckless drivers, etc.
I get grounded for disagreeing with my dad
