Author Topic: Minecraft is now... boring  (Read 1697 times)

Minecraft has became something like this:
1. Get wood, make wooden tools.
2. Get stone, make stone tools.
3. Get a shelter, get coal and make torches.
4. Get iron, make iron tools.
5. Get diamond, start over.

Seriously, I can't wait for the adventure update to come out, I hope it brings up my interest to Minecraft again.
This is how you make the game sell millions and players get bored after a while:

1. Create a random generator.
2. Add some random monsters and item-making abilities.
3. Profit.

In my opinion, Minecraft needs more stuff, not just those stupid dungeons which you can clear in 10 seconds.
There needs to be a wider variety of weapons and kinds of monsters. 8 monsters aren't enough.

It hasn't bored me at all yet, and I've played it for about 600 hours. When 1.8 comes out, oh dayum.

The game is really boring for me in SSP.

But I love SMP, I just cant seem to find a good server (no lag) that actually stays up. Once I get my new PC ill make one tho.

There are lots of things to do to fix that.

1. Put artificial challenges on yourself. Play as a nomad, who has to change his base every two days and keep on exploring in one direction.
Play as a tree spirit, who can only walk on wood logs. Or play on the 404 seed, in a massive underground cavern without using torches for light.

2. Make adventure maps or play other people's adventure maps. It's fun! I'd recommend Island Adventure Playset or the Super Hostile series.

3. Install new mods that make the game more interesting or harder: new ores, new plants, or new mobs are always good. If you're looking for a challenge, install Zombie Awareness and Survivalism mod. Then you'll be afraid of the dark again.

4. Make your own mod or texturepack. It's really rewarding once you make something for yourself.

5. If all else fails, try multiplayer.

Holy forget this, theres THOUSANDS of mods, from gameplay editors, to new mobs, to new items, to unbelievable things like the Exchange mod.

The only element we currently have that I'd like to see an entire update dedicated to is farming. We don't have much to farm, and farming gets a bit boring.

I agree that we need a farming update, but seriously, what more could he add?

MINECRAFT IS BORING

LETS TALK ABOUT HOW BORING IT IS 3 DAYS BEFORE A MAJOR UPDATE!

I hate it when people expect the game to throw fourth all the entertainment and they don't take the time to use what the game's given to them to entertain themselves.

Watermelons and stuffs are coming in 1.8 wooo feed the niggs.

Survival Island, close friends, and fraps. Can't get much better than that.

Dunno, but animal farming will be added. Farming should also be more profitable, like non food items that can only be acquired by farming, and maybe pumpkin farming?
