windows 7 had the simplicity of vista with the style and organization of OSX.
it was perfect.
why make a new OS

Hopefully this remains a rumor.

In terms of emulators and the time it'd really take to get that working:

it's a rumor, probably isn't true, i wish though.

See how much power we need to emulate some WEAK BABBY GAMES? To even do this Windows 8 would ruin entire console market.
But if it was Ultimate exclusive and you needed to have identity of linking your windows key to your live key, then it could work.
Knowing this though, i think the controllers being PC compatible was a huge hint.
Plus the Xbox360 is DirectX9, how this relates to what i just said i dont know, i really wanted to fit that in somewhere  :cookieMonster:

GET BACK ON TRACK WINDOWS

._. Windows 8...It's like an oversized phone operating system?

I don't like it.

I really don't.

I want a computer that is a computer, with a taskbar, a desktop, and windows.

Not this.

Boo! >:C

If you look around at some people using the OS, they only showed some really stupid parts, apparently.

It has a login screen, apparently!  :cookieMonster:

and the "start" thing is just on a taskbar on the side as seen in the video, behind it apparently is a desktop.

thats what it seems like

Like I said before, everyone is hopping on the "make it too simple and flashy" bandwagon that I hate so.

If it can play Xbox games, then it can definitely play PC games like TF2, HL2,  All those others. The only problem is the new operating system -.-

It looks really fast, and I wouldn't mind it as long as the desktop is there.

in before x360 emulation is a gold live membership feature

>new os

wat. ms just builds on top of old OS's.

like the vista beta, there was some XP in there.

Microsoft is working to be like Apple when it should be working to be like Linux.

They should be working on things that are bad instead of things that are fine.
