What confuses me is why he wouldn't do a normal save. How were you working off the quicksaves which are activated at specific locations and events? Anyone else would go "Okay, I'm done here. *saves*" because they want to start at that point. I'm asking you seriously PJ, what made you want to work off the key moment saves?

F5 is the quicksave button. It overwrites the previous save at your point in the game and can be done at any time. I worked off that the entire time without doing a menu save. How was I supposed to know I was supposed to do a menu save so my previous character wouldn't get overwritten?

It really shouldn't have happened. If the stupid developers put in separate and proper profile saving instead of putting everything into one, unreliable folder, then I wouldn't be here, I would be playing the game.

I might as well just unistall it and return it at this point. No point in playing everything over again.

No, it overwrites the previous quicksave. If you ever actually looked at your save folder you would know this and wouldn't have messed it up.

Though multiple "folders" or something for each character would be nice, the system still works better than most thanks to the great autosaving and convenient quicksaving.

I press F5. It was enough to progress through the game. I had no idea I had to go into the menu and press the save button. F5 was just convenient and I forgot about the menu save.

It's not Bethesda's fault that you have the memory span of a goldfish.

I use quicksaves all the time, I love them. Particularly at times when I need to save quickly (!!), such as when I'm about to fight a hard enemy at the end of a dungeon and don't want to run the dungeon over and over.

:( They're being rude, but pretty honest, the if you ever open your menu, it's really easy to see SAVE.

What are some good skyrim mods that don't shake up the game too much? So far i've got:
Arrow smith
Craftable soulstones
Craftable lockpicks
Faster arrows
Killable Children
Richer Merchants
More carry weight per stamina

Any other suggestions? I've got a stuff computer and running everything on low, so I'm not really after any visual mods
