I'm trying to play through Oblivion again, solely so that I can get to Shivering Isles and become Duke of Mania, instead of Dementia so I can get my final achievement.

This is actually exactly what I did, only it wasn't solely for that achievement. I'm up to 70 hours on my current playthrough, and I'm nowhere close to being done with it.

I have Skyrim and all of the DLC, but I just can't get into it like I can with Oblivion. It's like all of the charm and personality that came without Oblivion was lost in Skyrim.

The Elder Scrolls Online is having another Beta weekend from Friday 28th to Sunday 2nd, and anyone who has been invited or has been previously will recieve an additional code for a friend to use!

And much more excitingly there is no Non-Disclosure Agreement for this test run, so we can all share stories and pictures with full impunity.

im hoping the next elder scrolls will be set somewhere like hammerfell or valenwood

im hoping the next elder scrolls wont be canceled because of the failure of TESO

It's still in beta, keep your pants on.

Valenwood would be cool.

Even if ESO was a monumental failure, there would be absolutely no reason to cancel and future games in the main series. ESO is being developed by a ZeniMax Online Studios, an entirely different team whose only connection to Bethesda Game Studios (developers of the main series) is they're both owned by Zenimax Media.

I know that, but publishers can be stupid like that.

Will The elder scrolls online be on PS3/XBox 360? Do you have to pay to play online?

Do you have to pay to play online?
Yeah, I think the game is good but isn't worth the money.

$15 a month, even after paying $60 up front to 'buy the game'.

black marsh or elsweyr pls
A southern-Tamriel based game would be cool.

Valenwood, Elsweyr and Black Marsh, all three of the weirdest and wonderful countries.

It will only be on the PC/Mac and the PS4/Xbox One. There are no plans to release it for PS3 or Xbox 360.

As far as I know all versions of the game will require a monthly subscription rate, which is £8.99 ($15) following their initial purchase of the game.
There are no offline functions so you will have to pay the subscription to actually play the game.

It's an MMO. Every major MMO had a subscription fee. Either that or it just becomes a Pay to Win game which are the worst kinds. WoW, EvE, Runescape (etc) all have subs to play yet they have millions of players. Also, not that it really makes a difference, but you get 30 days game-time when you buy the game for $60 so "technically" you're only paying $45 for the game's initial fee. Subs are important. That's what they use to keep the game servers running and pay for updates and expansions.

I'd pay $5 a month to play a game. Nothing more.

Sadly that puts me in the "Not playing any P2P games anymore" category since pretty much everything that has a subscription is more than $5. Even Runescape is $7 nowadays.
