Did you two know that the German Government send out a notice to internet users telling them to specifically not use IE because it was unsafe? :o

a government suggestion does not offset the fact that i have been using it for quite a long time without any harm done to any of my software/hardware

i am not used to using firefox and chrome nor am i comfortable in installing them and always end up uninstalling them in the end.
it's like deus ex: human revolution; at first my augs seem cool and all but soon my body starts rejecting the augs and i die

I don't want them to. :(
I don't want to sit here and watch people use really unsafe and broken browsers, I'd much rather have them switch off then learning the hard way and getting viruses or badly formatted web pages because of IE. :(

Safer browsing. I know you said you haven't gotten viruses from using IE but there are so many ways to exploit IE that it isn't even funny.
If I've never experienced an issue, though, and don't do anything dangerous, that really doesn't matter. IE, for me, has proved to be reliable.

Nicer looking pages! Chrome and Firefox have the latest support for all the coolest features with web design.
I've never once seen a difference between any site I visit in internet explorer and Chrome. And the browser of Chrome itself bothers me, with the tabs way up top and the address bar beneath it. So offputting. :c

And chrome and firefox are faster, I know you said that you didn't notice a difference but I can tell you that there is a change, or you're some sort of odd case where the performance didn't increase for some reason.
I'm aware they are faster. Chrome is quicker by, at most, several moments, though. I'm rarely in a hurry to reload the forums, though, so it doesn't matter much. But I do use Chrome when loading a large page with a good deal of information since Explorer can be rather sluggish in those cases.

Facist conspiracy! They just want us to use the Führer Browser so they can build their army again! :C!

right now you are trying to factor in people's common sense

if people get activeX security alerts and don't even get the slightest feeling of something suspicious things going on than pity on them

I was not saying a government suggestion gets rid of the fact that you like IE, I'm just trying to convince you that IE is unsafe.

Want to know why? Because as a web designer myself, I know that any website that's actually professional has to make sure that their website works with every browser, to prevent broken pages. Web designers have to make the page, then completely remake it just for IE!

Then what's the matter with using Chrome or Firefox instead of IE if you already know it's faster? :(
Also, I'm not just suggesting Chrome, but also Firefox. Firefox's UI is the closest of the two browsers to IE's UI, so there's no weird tabs that you don't like.

But...that's your job. :C

Chrome bothers me and I've never had a good past with Firefox. :u

Once again, I know where you are coming from. I have designed a few websites in the past and have never not had an issue with the layout of a page. It'll look fine in Chrome/Firefox/Opera then I'll open it in IE and every single site I have designed looks completely wrong. Not to mention some forms have been broken.

Guys dont even bother Mage hes a troll

But...that's your job. :C
But it happens because people like you use IE and make it so we have to re design the web pages. :(
Look at this example:
Here I've created a website for my Web Design class myself. Looks nice, huh? Nice font, gradients, looks smooth. (keep in mind the content on the page was required in class, and the page isn't even finished)

Now, look at what IE does to it!

Holy jesus christ, just look at that! It's not even centered or rounded or anything, and it breaks all of the fonts completely!
Chrome bothers me and I've never had a good past with Firefox. :u
I can understand Chrome, but what was your past like with Firefox?

I just made this in like a second.

As I've said, Firefox has managed to facilitate my gaining about 9 viruses and completely destroying 4 computers in one way or another. Besides that, I always constantly get hounded by them for upgrades or add-ons or this or that or the other. Plus it ran just about at the same speed as IE, not any faster. So overall, it was not a pleasant experience.

But, as a testimony of good will to you, Drop, I'll try your suggestion. Over the course of the next week or so I'll use Chrome once again and, if I pick it up, I will personally draw you a pretty picture to show my eternal gratitude. I suppose no harm could come from trying, hm?

You're just jealous 'cause I'm prettier than you. :C

Wow, good lord! Are you serious? When was this, like 4 years ago? I can safely tell you that Firefox's security has seriously upped since when you used it.
Also, are you talking about downloading things? When I say safer browsing I don't mean protection from downloaded files, rather pages that can silently do malicious things. And I really doubt it was Firefox's fault that 4 of your computers were destroyed. :(
And Chrome is a lot less hounding about Addon updates, I'm using it now and I used to use firefox, so I would know.

Yesss! Thank you! :D
Also, totally check out the Chrome extensions website. There are tons of cool things. And also, get Ad Block Plus right away! :O http://adblockplus.org/en/chrome

No, it was Firefox's fault. Completely and totally, without doubt, forever and ever, 'till uninstallation did we part.
