Author Topic: Cyber Bullying Can Lead To 15 Years In Federal Prison (U.S.)  (Read 4647 times)

And if you read the article and the op, you would have seen that it's only punishable if the bullied person commits Self Delete.

sounds like plausible blackmail.
I doubt this legislation will get far, this sort of thing has gone on for many years before the internet. This certainly is not going to stop it.

It's the kids loving fault for not being able to take the daily burdens of life. It's the internet what do u expect.

Here's a situation
A cyber-bullied B
B is devastated
C bullies B in real life
B is devastated

Suddenly B Self Deletes.
Who is at fault, A or C?

In that order, C.

Cyber-bullying is bad, but being bullied in real-time can lead to physical and verbal abuse because it's up close and personal.

republicans, we take blame for everything

From the article:

Quote
Not only legislators, but the White House and Lady Gaga are getting involved.

Oh thank, loving, God.

Holy crap, another note:

Quote
New York state Sen. Jeff Klein said one in every two gay teens is cyberbullied. His legislation would make cyberstalking a misdemeanor.

I guess I'm safe... for now.  Only the gays are cyberbullied.

(How the hell do they come up with these statistics?  It makes no loving sense.)

If you kill yourself over something someone said to you on the internet, you're stupid and deserve to die.

If you cyber bull someone, and leads to Self Delete. It's homicide.

Therefore, I'm not against this.

Maybe people (trolls) will actually find something better to do with their time now.

Maybe something more productive.

it's not their fault for not being taught how to not take it seriously, and it's not their fault if their parents can't teach them

I see where they're coming from, but it's way overboard.

Sure that would apply to something less severe, but not killing yourself. If you kill yourself you are either insane or stupid.

and it's their fault if they're insane or stupid? REALLY?
