there will never be another war which brings the united states together as a country

:(

Honestly, I think this is what we need. I not necessarily war, but something that brings us as a coutnry closer together and instills patriotism.  The way everyone is becoming disconnected and not caring about what is going on outside of their town is a very scary thought. The youth of today do not care.

Ok

>Impending economic collapse
>China will be hit very hard
>China will demand money from us
>We ain't got stuff for them

War will probably occur from that.

piss off your children by saying you saw the new millennium and they didn't

solution: youth should be less stupid.

piss off your children by saying you saw the new millennium and they didn't
this is a good plan.

Why couldn't there be?

Not that I really want such a war, I'd say it's highly possible if not probable.

Hell, the War in Iraq was for a time a war that brought us together. I don't care who you were, after 9/11 you supported the stuff out of that war. We thought, "finally! A badguy again!"

There will always be differences, but America, as a whole, is still America as a whole. We all have that one thing we identify with, no matter what our politics are. I bet you, if you walk up to anyone in this country and say to them: "I'm an American, how about you?" You'll get back something ranging from a small: "Indeed, sir, I am" to a full out chorus of the whole town singing God Bless America.

Look, gentlemen, the time for us is upon us. The baby boomers are retiring and in as little as four years it'll be us in control of the job market and eventually the Whitehouse. After all, the baby boomer cutoff was 63. Obama was born in 62, to give you a perspective of where we are in generational terms.

"You know what grandson? When I was your age, kids killed themselves because of comments on the internet. Wonderful times they were..."

No it isn't.

Our generation is full of selfish starfishs who have no manners and respect for anyone.
+1 respect

this.

I prefer to call these the brown years. mondays dominate music, government, etc. These are cold, dark (literally) times.

China is in no state to invade the US, especially if they have no money.

Meh, I guess you have a point.

I want to stab like, half my school.

God, they're so dumb.

How is China in no state to invade?

+1 respect
this.
Instead of agreeing with a comment like that, do something productive and prove it wrong.  Don't accept it.

China can't even sustain themselves let alone an all out war
-snip-
You say we can identify a bad guy but all we really have are terrorists who aren't identifiable until they blow our stuff up. Back in WWII, we could say,"forget the national socialists." Today, we can't say,"forget the Muslims."

As for everyone being all,"Yeah America!" We have chancigarettes and anarchists that have some reason to believe America and government are horrible. forget, our nation's president had a priest that said,"God damn America."
And for some reason no one likes Obama. We have no unity

Hey, I'm up for a debate.

Again, agreed.

America has a sad fate ahead of itself if this trend continues.
