there will never be another war which brings the united states together as a country
:(
Why couldn't there be?
Not that I really
want such a war, I'd say it's highly possible if not probable.
Hell, the War in Iraq was for a time a war that brought us together. I don't care who you were, after 9/11 you supported the stuff out of that war. We thought, "finally! A badguy again!"
There will always be differences, but America, as a whole, is still America as a whole. We all have that one thing we identify with, no matter what our politics are. I bet you, if you walk up to anyone in this country and say to them: "I'm an American, how about you?" You'll get back something ranging from a small: "Indeed, sir, I am" to a full out chorus of the whole town singing
God Bless America.
Look, gentlemen, the time for us is upon us. The baby boomers are retiring and in as little as four years it'll be us in control of the job market and eventually the Whitehouse. After all, the baby boomer cutoff was 63. Obama was born in 62, to give you a perspective of where we are in generational terms.
