I walked out to my F-15E. I had persuaded the nurses to let me fly. I sat on the runway in my Eagle.

I nodded again and climbed into the Tiger. "Radio check, Blaze one, Bullet 1, Pheonix 5, Chimera 2, Napper 13, you all read?"

"This is Phoenix 5, ready to dance with death."

"Alright, callsigns now." Said Skyeye. "Sierra Seven, this is a get-in, destroy, get-out mission. We need to go now." He said. He was already in the air. "This shouldn't be a terribly difficult mission, though. We could probably split into small groups."

I walk over to the aircraft and do some preflight checks and hop in.... "This is Hammer 4-1 open for business."

I started to pull up, but the engine started to sputter.
"OH COME ON!" I shouted as it lost speed and altitude.

"Roger that Skyeye." I took off. "Alright, two groups, one bomber group, one escort. I'll take escort."

I walk over to the aircraft and do some preflight checks and hop in.... "This is Hammer 4-1 open for business."

"Hammer 4-1, get in the air. We're wasting time as it is."

"All fighters should be escorting." Repeated Skyeye. "That means you, Blaze One." "Dammit..." I muttered.

"Napper 13, you're pretty far down there." I noted. "Pull up."

"Who's taking lead point?"

"You can if you really want it, Sierra Seven." I said. "We have a long flight to Rigley anyway."

He's flying an F-5 now.

"Napper, this is Skyeye, do you think you can make it to Rigley?"

"Alright then." I flew to the center and front of the formation. "Alright, escorts, behind me. Bombers, behind us."

"My engine is dead!"

"You might have to sit this out Napper 13."

I assumed a position directly to Sierra Seven's left, but slightly behind him. "Let's rock."

"Hammer 4-1, radio check," as I slip to the side of leader's wing.
