Author Topic: Need a $1300 GAMING build  (Read 5976 times)

You definetly won't need the 2gb cards for just 1080p. Get two 1gb cards and save yourself $100.

This has got to be the most changing build in history.

Lolololol

OK, final choices, out of these three:

First one is the 6870 crossfire, lots of power, but upgrade in the future will be costly.

Second one is a 570/6970 (Change is same price pretty much I guess)

Third one is a combo with 6950, and enough space to add another 6950 crossfireX. But the processor is a bit "lower quality"

Which one?

Go with the second one and just add a second 6950/570 when you need to.

Has SSD, and all the extra stuff, plus a 2600K, with a 6950.

Thing is with the Toxic, it has the same core clock speed as a reference 6970. And lots of customers have said the dual bios switch (comes with every one lol, it even has "Dual Bios" on the front cover of the box) switches to the 6970 shaders automatically. For some people it didn't work, but it still has a high chance. Thoughts? c:

I'd say that's the best build. Told you it'd be worth it to go for a 2600k with this price range moreso than just the 2500k. Not much difference but as a whole the computer industry is moving towards utilizing more cores, so the more the merrier.

yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay.

i dunno, i was thinking of spending the extra 100 on a p67 board and a haf 932. because i heard only better thing over 2500k is hyperthreading.

lol, i have 20 bucks, and my dad's putting in 300. ill have to work hard to get 900. :p
