Author Topic: TF2 Problem: Crash on Startup  (Read 1383 times)

Yeah, I'm having that problem.

When it starts, it goes for a few seconds, then freezes up. To get it to close, I have to end the process.

Stuff I have tried:

Verifying game cache
Reinstalling
Defragging
-dxlevel81 in launch options

Any ideas guys? It worked fine before.

Have you downloaded any custom skins lately?

Have you downloaded any custom skins lately?

One can only assume that can't be the problem if he's reinstalled...

the problem here is

too much hats.

My TF2 wont even start up, validates to 100% and then nothing. Just stays on that window.

Anyone help? I posted a topic a while back but nobody really helped.

How about posting to the Team fortress 2 forums next time?

yeah, it takes TF2 about 45-60 seconds for it to actually start up for me.

I will.

Something that could help would be what you did before it stopped working.

Didn't do anything, just started it up one day and crash.

Bump, seems the recent update didn't fix it.
