This happens to me all the time.
Then you are doing something wrong.
These things don't just happen, things actually cause them.
And the thing that generally causes the thing that causes them is the user.

jesus christ how many times is HerpaDerp going to change his budget?

jesus christ how many times is HerpaDerp going to change his budget?

A million times.

But actually now, it's locked to 600. :c

Also, intel i3-2100 or Phenom II x4 965?

A million times.

..why does it keep changing anyway? just curious

Was going to make a topic then I remembered of this ;3

SO, Christmas is in a few months and I want to upgrade my computer for better gaming. Mine's a custom built but it was pretty cheap.

Current Specs:

4GB DDR3 RAM

GT 430 graphics card (Its pretty stuff) I also use a 1920 x 1080 monitor.

AMD Athlon II X3 450 Processor (Triple core) 3.2Ghz

I think i definetly want to get a better Graphics card and more ram depending on how much I spend on the graphics card. Budget is about £150 so about $250. Bare in mind i live in UK so if it cant be shipped there then :[

Recomendations on how to upgrade for better gaming performance? I'm having trouble frapsing certain games like League of legends but most games run fine.
Have you tried unlocking the 4th core with that CPU? It would greatly help performance, then you could get Nickelob's suggested GPU.

Ew, no competition Phenom.

Get the 600 budget in OP.

ok, i hear i3 is better for gaming until phenom is at 3.7 GHZ, according to my friends , who are computer experts, and this benchmark:

http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/88?vs=289

Now the MAIN reason I'm getting the i3, is because of upgradability I can later upgrade to an later Sandy Bridge, for example an i5-2500k or an i7-2600k. Would the Phenom still be the better choice?

Which is better now?
I did a research on my laptops and found:

or
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834101259

Both fit into my budget and both fit my requirements.
Which is better? The gateway appears to be better.

Will you be overclocking?
Quad core is well worth it vs the i3's 2 cores.

Ok, is this supercombo good:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboBundleDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.752642

I could add a Hyper 212+ and a 6870 in there for about a total of 560, which is in my budget. Thoughts?

Only thing I really didn't like was the case and the HDD, and im a bit worried on the PSU. Will it have enough power to support the whole rig?

The case is low quality, the HDD is a bit overkill tbh, and the PSU *might* be adequate.
Hold up.
