I just got 8 gigs ram, a 6970 and an i5 2400k for my comp.

Niiicceeeee

I just got my mobo back from RMA.
About time, too bad I no longer have a good CPU and I need another 100 bucks to replace it with a good one.
:C

Alright, I just got a bluescreen. It looked something like this...

It happened when I exited a fullscreen video on Youtube, the whole computer froze. This happens sometimes when I'm loading big pages, like a big tumblr, some minecraft things, etc. It's only on Chrome, so not sure if Chrome is the problem or not. Is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening? Will it happen again? Should I be worried?

The picture of the matrix in the top reminds me of something.

I wish there was a site that generated a .gif or something of whatever you want to type in that would appear out of a Matrix.

Holy stuff. Ethan, I will most likely go with the Sapphire 7950 when it comes out.

900 MHz Core Clock
28 nm Processor
1792 Stream Processors
3GB of GDD5 Memory
and a Memory Clock of 5000 MHz

And according to videocardz.com, it only draws about 150 W of power! :O Holy sht.

$449-$500 Nice

How does this look? It's cheapish, and it has very good rating.

If it's a 6850 you want, I suggest going with this one. It's a fairly good card for the price.

Or if you have a slight bit more money to burn, go with this 6870.

Make sure your power supply is adequate to support those cards, your motherboard is compatible, and you have enough room in your case.

If I were you I'd just spend the extra $40-50 and get a 7970.

Err, no. 1) This card is easily overclockable to be as good as the 7970. 2) The 7970 is 100-150 dollars more. Not 50

overclock a 7970 the same amount and it's still better, what's your point?

you just said the 7950 was $449-500

a 7970 is $550

550 - 500 = 50

My mistake. As far as I know, the base retail price is $449. The base retail price for the 7970 is $549. But there is only one card that carries that $549 price tag. All others range from like 560-600. I assumed that the 7950 would be somewhat similar in that not many will hold the retail and therefore there would be a 449-500 range. But all in all I don't care if a 7970 OC can run better. I know it can because that's what it is supposed to do. Derp. But it's default is so good that OC is basically not needed. But to be able to OC the 7950 just by a bit and match if not be better than the 7970 clock speeds is great. So I dont see the point in spending $100 more to get something that can easily match if not outperform the 7970. Either way the 7950 is actually still faster than the GTX 580 by default. And it's power consumption is less than the 7970 and 580. I mean 150 watts? That's crazy.

you make me want to OC my 580 even harder to outperform a 7950 ;-;

poor thing can't take much more ..

How do you go about using a Corsair Force Series 3 60GB SSD as cache for a Seagate Barracuda 1TB like in the $1500 setup?

Are you sure it will have enough room?

Are you sure it will have enough room?

no, that's why I told you to check if it will  :cookieMonster:
