this has probably already been established but not all gpu's have a connector from your psu. what gpu do you have?

GeForce GT 220. Looks small in there.

GT 220 doesn't have a power connector.

How about this PSU? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371016

It's $5 cheaper, has an average rating of five, and no red LED.

Also, the PSU is mounted at the top. Does that make any difference, should I install it with the fan side down (or would it be obvious which way to put it)?

Thank you very much for your help so far, sorry if I seem a bit dumb about things

It's worth the extra $5 for the modular capabilities. That means that you can just unplug cables that aren't going to components, save spaghetti in your system.

There is only one way to mount a PSU, if you look at the screws on the back of your case. The fan will always be pointing to air.

Alright, I finally have enough money to purchase my new setup. Here's my final build list; please tell me if there's anything conflicting or can be improved.

That's minus $50 off your total.

I'd suggest to up the power supply a bit for a 6950.

But the Antec is also modular.

Also, the money isn't a huge motivator for me, mostly it was the slightly more confident rating and that this case simply does not look like the red LED type :p

Oh, it is.
Up to you.
I prefer OCZ ones and LED lighting, but it's pretty much preference.

I'm just thinking of the overall image of that in this. It's cool, but a little silly.

The sleek black finish, with modest silver highlights and a bluish white light ring around the power button, glowing red from the inside and wait a second

Should I buy more fans?

Should I buy more fans?
Depends on how much research you watch a day.

How do I buy infinite fans

Better solution = cut down on the tentacle research.
