Alright. Say I was stupid as hell and wanted to take apart a Microprocessor. Not remove it from the computer, but take the actual chip apart.
What would happen or is it not possible.
It's set in silicon, good luck, lol.
To expand on this, a processor is an integrated circuit sandwiched between a circuit board full of connecting pins and a piece of metal called a heat spreader. The pins plug into the motherboard and move data between the processor and the rest of the computer. The heat spreader helps evenly spread out heat across the heatsink for more efficient cooling.
You can't break it into any smaller bits than that since it is an integrated circuit. It's literally a wafer thin piece of solid silicon that has an extremely small circuit chemically etched into it. About all you can do with it is smash it into dust.
It's also not a stupid idea. Taking stuff apart is a good way to learn. If you have a spare processor that doesn't work anymore, feel free to take it apart before you recycle it.
