Yes.
Around maybe $250-300 for both? I recently got a 650W PSU.
Alrighty, that's not bad at all.And what all other parts do you plan to install, so I can estimate the amount of power I can work with
I plan to install an AMD radeon 6950 graphics card. What other parts do you need?Heres the card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102914
What sort of RAM do you use?And what sort of Hard drive?
The ram I have atm is 7gb of DDR2. I have no idea about the hard drive but I will check that out in a minute.
DDR2 is going to be a bitch.You won't get above 95 watt CPU's using ddr2 ram
well, I can get ddr3 memory no problem.
RAM: [PNY 8GB DDR3 SDRAM 1333] - $36.99

Also, Count, do you plan on getting a new GPU to go with the CPU upgrade? If so you'll likely need a new power supply to handle all of these parts.
Sounds good. Now about my hard drive, how does that work? Will I be able to just keep it? It's a standard internal hard drive. not sure how to describe it.
