I'm liking that site. The prices are pretty high there but they look good. Thanks!
Cheaper than other prebuilts.

The 990X seems a bit excessive for gaming only. I use mine for live streaming 1080p videos where it would literally be impossible to do with any other processor out there right now.
Yeah, now I think about it, it seems stupid to have a great processor not doing any donkey work.
I do record quite a bit of gameplay and recently filled up a 640GB drive with FRAPS stuff, so yeah.

Cheaper than other prebuilts.
And there good with gaming laptops. And they give you a ton of special deals.

SHOULD I BE CONCERNED ABOUT THE ABNORMAL SOUND COMING FROM MY CHASSIS FAN?

Not if you enjoy chopping food with your chassis fans.

Ethan, thoughts on the i7-2700k? I can't seem to tell what's changed from the 2600k other than frequency.

Of course I enjoy chopping stuff with my fan, how do you think I eat cucumber?

WOAH WTF 90000 RPM?!?!??!?!?!?!?
8000 is like the max of most if not all fans. 1200 is generous. 90 thousand?!?!??!?!

i got my fan to get to 90000rpm
i had the case open and something got stuck in it and stopped the fan, it went down to 0 rpm and then shot up to 90000rpm. according to HWmonitor.

Apparently it was a bios error and the fan started making strange whirring noises.
I have no clue how an error occurred in the CMOS memory or how it happened, but it's back to 2800RPM.

What will I NOT be able to do with this? Just so I know. (like in context of games and graphics settings)

I sort of feel like I've asked this before but I'm going to order soon so I just want to double check you know?

Thank you. I am sure I speak for everyone when I say: we love you ethan

That's exactly it. Only a slight MHz overclock.

That's a prebuilt, right?
Looks like CyberPower UK?
If that's right, they usually offer an upgrade from 4GB 1333 to 4GB 1600 for free.
But that looks relatively decent for UK prices and a prebuilt.

Yeah you got it, pre built, cyberpower.

What stuff will it be able to run on high settings? I looked up some benchmarks but they are all different... :c

Posted this in another thread, but I really want some input on this build.

Already own 8 gigs in ram (2x 2gig DDR3, 2x 2gig DDR2), not sure if the DDR2 will even work in that motherboard but whatever. If not I'll buy some bigger sticks but I'm not going to go above 8 gigs unless I have a reason to.

Supplied PSU: 600watts. Also don't know if that will support that rig.

I also need to buy a new case. If you have a suggestion (needs to be under 21" tall), lemme hear it.

That's pretty nice. :D

What's your total budget?
I don't think a 1100T is worth it TBH. For a little more you could get the far superior 2500k.
Also no, DDR3 is not backwards-compatible with DDR2 sticks.
