I don't know if this works (if not someone please tell me)
But on the $600 if you replace the case with http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811233067
then you could use the money you saved to get this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341052

Please tell me if this wont work with the $600 setup.
There's no point. 650W is ample for that build, and it's good quality. Unless you really need 750W for a SLI or CF system or something.

This adapter keeps disabling itself and I can't enable it. It was enabled after I fixed my drivers but now its off. Hate to be pushy but I want to play Saints Row 3 tonight. :C

-snip-

I also checked recently for hardware problems and I couldn't find any other than the dust I was talking about, but that's out of the way now.
Uh, that adaptor is your Video card. It shouldn't disable itself. If it did disable itself, you wouldn't have any picture to the screen.

Well is there anything I could use the $20 on cause I don't like the other case so I would like to upgrade something else.

What's odd Is that above that it says the same stuff, but the 1024MB isnt greyed out.

I'll post pics when I'm home

so forget

the HDD i wanted is out of stock now
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136533

any suggestions for another one like it possibly around the same price

Can anyone recommend some great headphones for me?  My Razer Piranha's are just not cutting it anymore for me.

Required qualifications:
  • Must be circumaurul, AKA "fitting around the ear and not on top of it".
  • Must have great bass.  I loving love bass in songs, like this song.  If I can't hear the BVVVRRRRRR of the bass with those headphones they aren't my type.  Think of me as a black guy in a ghetto car.  I like to have my music loud and my bass pumping but I'm considerate enough as a white person to use headphones and not a car stereo that wakes up neighborhood blocks.
  • Cannot be more than $100.
id wait a while to buy an HDD. prices have gone waaay up since there was a flood in Thailand. like 2x-3x normal price.
unless theyve come back down in the last week but i doubt it.

@nick, logitech g35. love em. not sure of the price but i think its around $100. maybe just get some used ones off amazon, thats what i did. theyre like new and i think i got em for $60-70.
Another few things (and I appreciate your suggestion Fred), I don't really mind if there's a mic on it or not, I have a higher quality one of my own anyway.
And I'd rather have just 2 channels (left/right), not 7.1 surround sound.  I'd rather keep it simple.  I've tried my brother's Razer Megalodon which has 7.1 surround and it's just not necessary for me.

My suggestion:  Wait.  Thailand, aka where Western Digital manufactures hard drives, is flooded like hell right now.  HDD prices are skyhigh.

I can support Fred's suggestion. I have a pair of G35s. Best bass ever. Best sound quality ever. Very comfortable, sturdy, and don't forget that Logitech doesn't even care if your warranty is expired, they replace them anyway.

Also, once you've heard Logitech's 7.1, you won't go back. Incredible bass boost over the 2 channel setting (yes, you can turn surround off and have stereo if you for some contrary reason want to), amazing sound.

Ok then, found a used one for <$70.  Much love and thanks both you and Fredulus!

Are you absolutely sure about the bass?  I'm listening to that reptile theme I linked in my post and I can hear every single thump of bass on my Skullcandy Ink'd Earbuds.

I'll listen to it when I get home, on the G35s.
I'd also recommend getting a new pair if you can afford up to $100, but your choice.

This is what it looks like. I'm able to post and stuff because the Primary Adapter is on, however the other one isn't on, while it might not be causing problems I'd like to fix it for a "peace of mind" kinda thing.

Fixed.

So for portable gaming, would you personally recommend this for about a $660 budget?

Laptop: HP Pavilion dv6-6135DX AMD A-Series A8-3500M(1.5GHz) 15.6" 6GB Memory 640GB HDD AMD Radeon HD 6750M Refurbished Notebook
Cooling Pad: EVERCOOL Hawk 1 Notebook Cooling Pad Model NP-511

Subtotal: $567.49
Shipping: $14.59
HST: $75.67

Grand Total: $657.75

Cooling pad for OCing (many comments on the laptop said you can safely OC to 2.5GHz without killing it.)
Yes.

Overclocking a laptop is never a good idea. Especially when you want to play games even with a cooling pad.
And what would the point of that be? You would need to keep it plugged in because by overclocking it that far you are going to make it require much more power.
You would spend more time recharging it than playing it imo.
If you want a gaming laptop then go ahead. I personally wouldn't though. I don't want to keep you from doing what you want.
