Ok, right now the $300 in OP is $320. So I want to change around stuff.
First, is this a good power supply:

Second, I want to know which mother board is better. The one in OP or this one:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130594

Third, I would like to have quad cores, but I'm thinking I really don't need it. On which ever motherboard, could I unlock the other cores on this CPU:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103846

Finally, will this memory work with the better mother board:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231396

EDIT: Is this HDD good:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822145532

EDITEDIT: Forgot both mother boards only have two memory slots. Is this memory good:

There are no cores to unlock on a dual core seeing as it only has 2 cores.

Thanks your help to find cheap part lego because I really needed.

Ok, I'll look into that $300 on the OP.

EDIT: How good is this motherboard compared to the one in the $300 build? Like which one has the better graphics card.

The one in the ASRock (OP post) has a better GPU chipset.

How about this?

Its about ~$313 with rebate so should i buy it or keep looking?
That's loving horrible.
You cheaped out on PSU, HDD and CPU.
PSUs are vital. Good quality is definitely a must. That HDD would be slow as forget, and that CPU is an old architecture, dual core. The one in OP is a new architecture, quad core.
Hold up and I'll get you a better list.

There are no cores to unlock on a dual core seeing as it only has 2 cores.
Lots of reviews say they unlocked two more cores.
And what about that power supply?

You can make the PSU tradeoff, losing 50w will only make it that there isn't as much upgrade ability.

Just replace the OPs hard drive with this:
http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=WD3200AAJS-NDW-R&cat=HDD
I wouldn't get any memory cheaper than in OP.
You also can't guarantee that those 2 cores will be in working order.

There are no cores to unlock on a dual core seeing as it only has 2 cores.
Callisto architecture all have 4 cores, with 2 disabled for sale. Sometimes because of faults, sometimes because of market share.

Is there anything wrong with the HDD I chose? Also, will the motherboard be able to unlock those other cores?

Nothing wrong, just the price is a bit higher than your $300 budget.

"Supports UCC - Unlock CPU Core"
I can't really say more.

"Unlock CPU Core: Unlock hidden CPU core and potential"
Both can.

Actually right now I have it at $288. I kinda don't like the looks of that geek site. I think I'll just stick with my HDD for now. Maybe you could find a cheaper one with close to the same amount of memory on a different site?

Believe me, it's near impossible.
They are one of the cheapest sites.

I'll think about it.

Also, will all that stuff be compatible with Linux/Ubuntu? I don't have enough money right now to buy Windows.

Yeah.
I think you have to turn off ACPI in BIOS first though, but that's a 5 second job.
Just do be aware that if you do go for the 555 Callisto and try to unlock the cores, there is the tiniest possibility that they could brick your CPU and/or maybe mobo.

Ethan, about 2 months ago you posted a link to a 850-950$ laptop. It was by Ases, had an i5 processor and was being sold by NewEgg. Can you re-find that link? I lost it.

Yeah.

Thanks! I really hope I can buy this. I have the money but I will be sort on cash afterwards.

My next plans would be:
1. Get a graphics card.
2. Get a CD-DVD drive.
3. Get Windows 7.

What order should I get these?

I'll think about it.

I would recommend spending the extra $15 to get an actual quad-core cpu.

EDIT:

CD-DVD drive -> Windows 7 -> GPU
