Prebuilt, monitor, and windows. I checked for a copy but I don't have one.
Would you like a laptop, or a desktop?

Today I upgraded to Windows 7.
Now I get 20 more FPS in most of the games I own. Yay DirectX 11!

15 pages of Cyber Monday deals on Newegg.

Fapfapfap

Yay, XFX HD 6870 came in. Took 2 pics too. Can't open the box because I will open them all once I get all my parts in (Wednesday), other than that, pics!

You also get a glimpse of my room :3.
Sorry for low quality, took it with my laptop webcam.

About 20-25cm/7.5-10inch of space from the PCI port to the nearest thing that's blocking it. If I push some cables up I could squeeze a bit more space (about 2 inch)
The wattage of my power input is 400W.
You're going to need a new PSU. What was your total budget again? Sorry for this delay.

Is this an ok build for cheap?

Harddrive: Western Digital Caviar Blue WDBAAX3200ENC-NRSN

Mobo: ASRock A55M-HVS

GPU: DIAMOND A4870PE5512

PSU: FSP Group FSP450-60GHS(85)-R

RAM: G.SKILL F3-10666CL9D-8GBRL Ripjaws Series

CPU: Athlon II X4 631 Llano 2.6GHz

OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit - OEM

Parts I have that I will reuse: eMachines ET1161-03 Case, 320GB Harddrive and DVD-RW.

I am going to run the harddrives in RAID 1.
I will buy every new part from NewEgg.
Please post links, and what price it ended up being.
That CPU is bad, and BTW it's either Athlon or Llano, it can't be both.
And the GPU is old technology.
And as well as the points Pentium posted, the case could also be one of those small prebuilt ones that won't fit custom parts.

My little computer icon thing says I have no connection. But as you can see, I'm on the internet. What's going on? :o

Maybe you're using wireless but that's the icon for wired or vice versa?

XFX FTW. All of my GPUs are XFX, yay for lifetime warranty?

Sapphire customer support sucks so I went with XFX.

Found out you have to pay $50 for RMAs, and the company they redirect you to for support is named ALthon (Search it up, you'll be able to see what websites looked like in the 1990s lol), They ship your product to Hong Kong for it to be fixed. So you have to wait longer too. Plus XFX is modder friendly, can change heatsinks and such without voiding warranty. So all is good. :D

Now I have all my parts except my hard drive, which is coming Wednesday. WHY

Oh god lol

Yeah, I love XFX.
I have aftermarket Arctic Cooling heatsinks on all 4 of my 6990s, but still have the stock one on the 5850 I have. But it's amazing what they support. True gaming brand.

By the way. I have a small dilemna

After I bought the i5-2500K, I insisted to get a CPU cooler, like the H212, but my dad keeps saying no, as he thinks it's unnecessary. Do  Ireally need to OC now to get good performance? Or are stock settings fine themselves? That way I could get the H212 later on.

Is it hot where you live?
Does your father know much about computers?
You could make up something about how where you live, because it's hotter than normal, they reach higher temperatures. Just say that the max temperature is 73C or something and it'd be better to be safe than sorry and get a better cooler than have your CPU melt cause stock Intel coolers suck.

I'll try that.

AND TWO MORE THINGS:

1. I ordered the Hitachi 500GB 7200RPM on Black Friday for $50, did I make the right choice?

2. I also got the Antec Three Hundred case. It was on sale for $35, so I got it. But it seems pretty standard based on what others say. Did I make the right choice on that as well?
