I feel like a new computer. Wat do?

Could the $600 one run a game like Skyrim, or Battlefield 3?  It doesn't have to be max settings.

I'm thinking of switching from Xbox to PC gaming, but I'm undecided.
It can play both on max.

Disambiguate for me, are you implying that you want a new computer or that you feel like you're a new computer?

Wow, I didn't know it was this good.

Thanks, I'm definitely selling my Xbox, it's games, and saving for this.

Any computer can run those games on max. It doesn't mean that it will be a really smooth performance though. If you max Skyrim on that $600 one, the most FPS you'll get will be like 25

@Ethan

Alright. So iahve my router and my modem in my attic one floor above where I want to place a new computer. Only thing is that I do not want to buy a wireless card because I hate wireless connections and want to have it wired. What what be the best option to connect the computer to the Internet for the best possible U/D speeds?

an ethernet cord to the router would be your best bet

Ok. But how should I place it? Out the window? Through my ceiling? Howdo?

I am having issues with my desktop.
Soon after I switched my style to the Classic theme, all my desktop icons just vanished, and the only way I can access them is going into My Computer > Desktop > eeeehhh.

It's really strange.
Right click desktop > show desktop icons?

My mother recently received a very large tax rebate and has decided to spend some of it on a new gaming PC for me. My budget is 1400$ and I was hoping to get a computer that could run a game like Skyrim on max settings with high definition texture packs and performance enhancers. Do you think you could help me out?
Blah, sorry for wait.

Also, if you want a worse GPU for a SSD for SRT Technology, just say so and I'll adjust accordingly.

Anyone got some good Joystick recommendations? Preferably under £20 and inland delivery for the UK?

You're implying that's not a powerful card.
It is. It will play at 40 FPS or higher. (1600x900)

Err, no. You can't just consider the GPU. That's handicapped. It's running off a AMD Phenom II which is not going to get you over 40 fps. As well it is running off a not so fast HDD so map rendering ect. are not as quick.

Thank you.

I'm not sure what this is, what are the pro's/cons?

I'm not sure what this is, what are the pro's/cons?

Pro's:
In game map rendering is faster.
Faster boot times.
Transfer of files from one place to another can be up to 4 to 8 times faster.

Con's:
You won't be able to play on as high resolutions as before.
Downgrade in graphics performance.

(These are the effects of making the choice. These effects do not come from the SRT Technology itself.)

That's about it.

Well I think I'm fine without it. I need the computer for gaming not fast file transfers.

Good choice ^.^
