I'm thinking of upgrading from my 400w power supply. Suggestions? The power suppy has to be mounted on the bottom of the case though, if that changes anything.

I bumped the tower of my computer and my monitor went black. I had to manually turn the power off and when I rebooted I got a message that said windows failed to shut down normally. Does this denote a problem? Is it possible something in my case is loose?

The monitor going black may have been a problem, but windows always says that if you hold the power button in order to shut the computer off

my case came with the power supply, forget budgets. this computer was also a starter, i want to upgrade but i need a better powersupply first.
