Some wiki research tells me that although they have the same number of pins, they are arranged differently.

Disappointing.

Bump.

Something is wrong with my GPU.
I didn't overclock.

I was playing GTA IV then suddenly after a cutscene everything started lagging up. It happened on any settings (and I was running just fine at max until then). I began playing Dead Island, same story. Was lagging on max, set to low, lagging. Then funny thing, after back in max the game lagged twice as before...

I then did a Furmark and got a bit shocked.

Durning the test it also said I have half the clocks...

1 month ago I had a score of around 700, and avg of 12 fps.
Also the temperature back then reached around 80 degrees.

May there be something that's limiting my GPU's performance or I am screwed?

Isn't that core clock just awful or something?

Isn't that core clock just awful or something?

That's it for Palit's GTX 460.

Same subject,

That's just as before the test started.
GPU usage also reaches 99%.

Even Blockland freaks out ;~;

I restarted PC; it seems I overreacted a lot.

Dead Island also runs back at 60 FPS on full max.

That's good to go for me. Except temperature, it had starting temperature of 64C... It usually is under 40.
Either way, what could've gone wrong?

does building a compooter require attaching wires and stuff

not sautering but i mean there's wires and plugs and stuff that you have to plug into eachother. and then you have to nail parts to the case.

if you had to nail parts in, the case would be half destroyed

uurrhh

i made the list on pcpartspicker

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/cs5O

will this all work together right?

im using the stock fan that comes with the intel core i5. im using a hard drive i already have, i will buy a monitor, keyboard and mouse later.

and then you have to nail parts to the case.

cannot tell if serious

are you confusing nails with screws or are you joking?

So you bought a nice processor and a stuffty video card
???

give building advice pls

Power supply is weak. May not support all or your stuff, especially if you plan on upgrades.

obvious bottleneck obvious
